Minnesota Management and Budget (MMB) will host a free webinar on June 1 to help cities navigate the application process for inclusion in the governor’s 2026 capital budget.

The official state process for preparing the governor’s 2026 capital budget is now underway, with the application portal for local government projects having opened in early May. Cities seeking to be considered for inclusions in the budget can find key dates, instructions, and submission details at and how to submit a request on the MMB Capital Budget Instructions webpage.

To support local governments in this process, MMB will host a webinar on June 1 that includes an overview of the capital budget process and a Q&A session:
